Doctor of Chiropractic

After teaching science and math for 12 years, Dr. Wes Detrick acted upon a calling he had felt years earlier to become a chiropractor. He loaded his wife and five kids into the family van and moved to Kansas City where he attended Cleveland Chiropractic College, graduating in 2005 with honors. After a brief associateship in Springfield, MO, he moved to Wichita where he operated his own practice for 12 years.

Sharing a common vision with Dr. Wilbeck, Dr. Detrick joined the Wilbeck Chiropractic team in 2019. When asked what he likes most about practice, he says “I love getting to meet and help the many wonderful people that come through our doors. Each person is unique and each day brings a new variety of challenges. I enjoy practice because our patients are so appreciative of what we do. They quickly come to understand the value they receive with chiropractic care. When a patient tells me he or she is able to sleep better, stand taller, or walk further because of our care, it makes coming to work a thrill.”

Outside the clinic, you might find Dr. Detrick riding his bicycle, walking, or attending a Pilates class. On the long-term benefits of chiropractic care, he says “Mobility and fitness are key factors in attaining life-long health. Regular chiropractic care helps you stay mobile and active so that you can actually live the whole time you’re alive.”
